John holds a BSc Hons and is a member of the Association of British Cycling Coaches.
Coaching cyclists of all levels from many parts of the world including the UK, mainland Europe, USA, Australia as well as Asia.
Whilst being results focused and detail oriented, John also gives regular feedback and encouragement to all of his coached athletes.
Starting as a Swimmer, John attained a high level swimming at Club, County and UK national level. He has always had a passion for cycling, riding BMX, Trials and Downhill MTB before switching to TT and Road. He has also completed IRONMAN New Zealand in 10 hours.
As a current rider for NEX Cycling Team (UCI: NEX), John competes internationally in the UCI Asia-Tour.
Previous teams include Quick, RION and TJ Sport (China) and Singha Infinite International Cycling Team (Thailand). He also races in many sportives, one-day and UCI Continental level stage races around Asia, such as the Tour of Poyang Lake. In addition, John has ridden as a guest rider for teams such as Metalac (Serbia) and Futuro Pro Cycling (Australia)
John has won numerous races and reaching the podium in high-level races such as Gran Fondo China (2nd Place Overall), also in Thailand winning Tour of Khaoyai.
John has always enjoyed helping others and seeing people enjoy their improvement and success in sport. John applies principles from British Cycling, Association of British Cycling Coaches and Dr. Andrew Coggon as well as bringing his own experience to the table.
